Great info Steve, well done and thanks for sharing. I’m a Node Red beginner and have used it stand alone. I’ve now noticed that Node Red is integrated with Home Assistant. Perhaps you can do a bit of a write up on how Node Red works with Home Assistant?, tips and tricks etc. I’m considering running it this way to minimize hardware.
Jim Tks for the feedback. I was intending to do that but instead will probably opt for a node-red only solution to my own home automation projects as I’m sure your aware that because things are constantly changing it is difficult to keep up to date with lots of systems.
If I do come across related tutorials I will put them in the newsletter and link to them on the site.

Hello, Steve
In your recent mailing, you mentioned docker in the context of node red. Have you come across this site https://sensorsiot.github.io/IOTstack/ ? It provides lots of docker scripts in a helfpul menu format. I’ve been running my home-grown IoT environment on that for a couple of years, now. Your tutorials have filled-in a lot of gaps for me, by presenting vital information in a format that meant something to me, unlike so many postings that just assume that I know more than I do. Thanks so much!
Regards,
Gerallt.
Fist of all i want to thank you for your great guides on nodered, i’m new in this framework and you’ve helped me a lot.
I’m writing you because i found an misspeled word, maybe it is stupid but i share it with you in the case you want to fix it. it is on: http://stevesnoderedguide.com/understanding-buffers-node-red it’s a “put” instead a “but” in “Encoding and Decoding Integers and Floats” section.
i’m leaving you a screenshot if you want to know what i mean: https://ibb.co/r2RmqvL
Hope you are doing well and always happy to contribute even knowing it is something small and meaningless.

Hello Steve,
I was wondering whether you have considered an example flow that publishes data to a WhatsApp group.
Thank you.

Tks for the suggestion. I will take a look but can’t promise as I’m not a big whatsApp user.
